Clove Oil: Clove oil has antibacterial and painkilling properties, making it helpful for alleviating toothaches. Just dab a small amount to the infected area, and clove oil should only be use in small amounts and not used as a long-term solution.
Peppermint Tea: Peppermint tea has cooling and numbing properties that can help relieve a toothache. Swishing the tea around your mouth can also help.
Salt Water: Add salt to warm water and swish around your mouth for 30 seconds, rinse and repeat as needed. The salt water can clean the affected area and reduce swelling by drawing out fluids.
Hydrogen peroxide rinse: Mix 3% hydrogen peroxide with water and swish in your mouth for 30 seconds. DO NOT SWALLOW.
